DescriptionA black-and-white full-length photograph of Bob Feller wearing a Naval Station Norfolk uniform while pitching. Feller stands with his weight on his left leg with his right slightly bent and extended back. Feller is gazing straight ahead off into the distance having just pitched. On his left hand, that is extended back, Feller wears a baseball glove. Feller's right arm is raised and extends across his body to his left side. Based on the shadows present on Feller's face and those behind his figure this image was taken outdoors. On the reverse of the image a pasted caption (not shown) reads, H-32 Norfolk, Va. 4/3/42 Bob Feller, former professional baseball star now playing for the Norfolk Naval team, shown warming up prior to game. I.N.P...SOUNDPHOTO.On the reverse there is also stamped in purple ink the date APR 11 1942, a possible publication date of this image.
