DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of John McGraw captured in profile as he holds up binoculars to take a closer look at the winners from the races. McGraw is dressed in a suit. A newspaper clipping affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) reads, "John J. McGraw, one time manager of the New York Giants, looking the winners over from the grounds of the Havana-American jockey club, as the 19th annual winter racing season got under way at Oriental Park, Havana, Cuba, recently." Based on the newspaper clipping this photograph was taken in January of 1933.
