DescriptionA black-and-white photograph, from left to right, of Walter Alston, Sandy Koufax and Danny Ozark captured as they congratulate Koufax on his 25th win of the season on September 20, 1966 when the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Philadelphia Phillies 11-1 at Dodger Stadium. Alston has a large smile on his face as he shakes hands with Koufax who has a shy smile. All three gentlemen are dressed in the Los Angeles Dodgers home uniform. An unidentified gentlemen is partially visible behind the three gentlemen. Numerous unidentified baseball fans are visible in Dodger Stadium in the background. The scoreboard is visible in the background. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the side of the front of the photograph and states, "Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Sandy Koufax (32) gets a congratulatory handshake from manager Walt Alston (L), and coach Danny Ozark (33) after beating the Philadelphia Phillies 11-1, his 25th win of the season. The win made Koufax the first National League pitcher to win 25 games or more in two consecutive seasons since Dizzy Dean did it in 1935." Based on the newspaper clipping this photograph was taken on September 20, 1966.
