Stan Hack glove

DescriptionBrown leather fielder's glove with four finger stalls, a thumb stall and three horizontal thick leather tunnels and lacings between the thumb and forefinger stalls as webbing. Back side has an opening at the base of the finger stalls with a wrist strap having two buttonholes and a metal button for fastening.
Bio/Historical NoteGlove used by Stan Hack of the Chicago Cubs for three years, including the 1945 World Series against the Detroit Tigers. The Tigers won the Series, four games to three, giving them their second championship and first since 1935. Stan Hack played his entire 16-year career with the Chicago Cubs as a third baseman. He played in five All-Star Games and four World Series.
