Walker Cooper catcher's mitt

DescriptionDark brown leather left-handed catcher's mitt with lacing and grommets around the perimeter edge and lacing connecting the thumb stall to the main stall. There is white lettering, partially faded and illegible, on the outer thumb area, reading "It's a Wilson." Wrist strap area has lacings to adjust size.
Bio/Historical NoteCatcher's mitt belonging to St. Louis Cardinals catcher Walker Cooper, younger brother to pitcher Mort Cooper, and key member of St. Louis' 1943 pennant winners.
