DescriptionA black-and-white half-length photograph of Burleigh Grimes helping Babe Ruth into his uniform. Grimes, left, shown from the waist up, depicted in 3/4 profile, wears a Brooklyn Dodgers home uniform. Grimes, with both hands held chest high, helps Ruth put on his Dodgers jersey. Grimes looks forward and down to the jersey. Ruth, right, also shown in 3/4 profile, wearing uniform pants and a long-sleeve shirt is depicted from the waist up. Turning to his right, Ruth extends his right arm behind his body waist height. Ruth looks back and down to his right hand. Several lockers are visible in the background. A portion of the background behind Grimes' head has been modified. Pasted on the reverse (not shown) is a newspaper clipping that references Ruth's new coaching position for Brooklyn. A handwritten caption (not shown) is also present.
