DescriptionSterling silver trophy cup with two handles in the front on either side of the engraved lettering and one handle in the rear. Front side has a raised emblem in the center depicting two robed figures, a scale, "1910," and a shield. Above and below this emblem is "Presented by / The Citizens Of Philadelphia / to / Edward T. Collins / World's Champions / The American Base Ball Club / of Philadelphia / Season / 1910" in engraved lettering. Remaining two sides of the cup feature a raised emblem of a blue enamel flag with a white enamel elephant on a flagpole, on the front, with two raised vertical crossed bats and a baseball on the opposite side. Bottom of the trophy has a manufacturer stamp in the center, "J.E. Caldwell & Co. / Silverplate / Philadelphia."
Bio/Historical Note"The Citizens of Philadelphia" awarded this silver cup, with the seal of the city, to second baseman and future Hall of Famer Eddie Collins after the Athletics won the 1910 World Series. Collins went 9-for-21 with four doubles and five runs scored in the A's victory over the Cubs.
