DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Sandy Koufax captured waving and sitting in the Corvette he was presented for being named the World Series MVP. Koufax is dressed in a suit and has a large smile on his face. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph and states, "Sandy Koufax today took over a Corvette, awarded by Sport Magazine annually to World Series stand out. He is the player to have won two Corvettes; he got his first in 1963." A second newspaper clip is affixed to the back of the photograph and states, "Sandy Koufax, winner of two games for the Dodgers in the World Series, came back to New York yesterday to take possession of his Corvette as the outstanding player in the Series. It is Sandy's second such award, having won for his performance in the '63 Series against the Yankees." Based on the newspaper clip, this photograph was taken in 1965.
