DescriptionBrown leather split finger fielder's glove for wear on left hand. Single sewn tunnel loop web between thumb and first finger. Adjustable metal button closure at wrist. Red manufacturer tag stitched into wrist strap. Metal button "Spalding / Trade / Mark". Lacing through metal eyelets at wrist closure.
Bio/Historical NoteChristopher "Christy" Mathewson played for the New York Giants (1900-1916) and the Cincinnati Reds (1916). He also served as manager of the Reds from 1916-1918. Mathewson was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936 as one of the "First Five" members.
